Hundreds and Thousands.

Seeing as its so lovely and sunny out, I had to do a summer inspired illustration. What better thing to sum up the summer; an ice cream with lots of hundreds and thousands please!

Dream in Typography.

A disused game of scrabble my mum picked up for 20p at a car-boot sale has been put to good use already!  I thought of placing these letters just above my bed, and the fun thing about is that I can change it up with different sayings or sentences whenever I like.... that's if I don't find other uses for them in the meantime! :)
Rings and necklaces are another quirky way of wearing the letters! Let me know if you have any other suggestions for creating things from scrabble letters! :)

Personalised hand-made cards

A collection of some of the Birthday card's I have made. All personal to a certain person and in my style using pen and watercolour's. The middle design is a take on my friends tattoo I designed for her that she went ahead with the other day! :)
I can hand-make and personalise cards for any occasion! So just comment below if you have anything in mind :)

Wrap it up with Pom-Pom's!

Who would have thought about using pom-pom's instead of ribbon to wrap a present! I found these lying around from an old bag and decided to add a different touch to wrapping a present for my best friend!

Framed Resin Doilies

This framed piece was part of my first Uni project titled 'PLACE' which I led to base it on one of faveourite places, a family holiday destination; Sheringham in Norfolk. I looked at the idea of portraying seaside colours, beach picnics and family memories all combined into this delicate frame.

It is made from scanned doilies, worked into with pen and ink, then encased into resin, with contrasting inks.
Let me know what you think! :)

Birds,Birds,Birds

A piece taken from a college sketchbook, too good to be hidden my mum thought, so she framed it and now its on prime display in the hall. Its a montage of wallpaper samples and fabrics embroidered onto and drawn over in pencil. I love anything with a bird print or design! It kind of reflects my swallow bird tattoo!

comment and let me know what you think

Walls of art.

The Hallway 'wall of art'. Put together by my mum who wanted to display art work by my brother and I! A good little welcoming into the house :) I love all the odd frames and disposition on the wall, its turned a plain wall into a whole piece of artwork!

Below is a couple of photos of my bedroom wall displays, I've kept them quite simple because my room is soo tiny! The Martini mirror is my favourite; a charity shop bargain. One day in my own place I will fill a whole wall full of frames, mirrors, postcards and artwork.

All images taken from http://pinterest.com/search/boards/?q=wall+displays. I shall be taking inspiration from a lot of these walls!

Do you want some tea with your milk?

My first year of Uni is completed! It's crazy how fast its gone, makes me realise and put into perspective how quick the next two years of my degree are going to go! But I can't say I haven't loved it :) I've made some amazing friends and memories so far <3

The work is expectantly different, a leap from college but a good one! My second project was my most enjoyable, posed with the brief 'Vintage/Upcycling', I went about it looking at retro fabrics, colours and interiors, looking at things alone I thought summed up 'vintage'. I came across a milk bottle I bought in a vintage fair, adorned with a union jack and the words 'please return to the milkman'. I went with this idea of displaying a milk bottle as a retro item as what I think of as vintage.
Creating covers for milk bottles, it gave them a new use, a way of 'upcycling' second-hand fabrics, printing on illustrations of repeated milk bottles and milk caps. They can be used to drink out of or decorate!

I hope you like them! I would love it if you could let me know what you think and leave your comments!
